SHNM Taxonomy Loaded

Hi All,

We've just loaded 1909 species into the new Southern Highlands Nature Map site.

If you get a chance, please have a browse around the site and let me know if anything looks odd.

To do this, we've built a new "Taxonomy Import" tool which can be used to quickly and easily populate the full taxonomy (including sample species images) for any new NatureMapr project.

So as we continue to grow into new regions, with the invaluable assistance of Jen Smits, setting up the species and category structure of new projects will be 10x faster.

Southern Highlands Nature Map

Cheers

Aaron.

Hi Aaron,

I've noticed that the plant lists are only for species with genus from A-L. Are the rest on their way?

Thanks Margot, we'll check it out. Any thoughts Jen? Is this an import bug or an issue with the spreadsheet?

Hmmmm - yes.... birds and fungi alike. I will investigate. Thanks for bringing to our attention Margot.
