Frogs

Frogs belong to a group of animals called amphibians. All Australian amphibians are frogs. There are about 4000 frog species worldwide and Australia has 208 frog species; many of these are endemic - that is, they are found nowhere else in the world. Frogs play a key role in many food webs, both as predators and as prey.

Now we do have a Crinia that could be signifera or parinsignifera and I can only be sure by seeing a shot of the belly.

While I am happy to call it signifera, I should point out that seeing as how you had it in your hand, a shot of the belly would have helped us rule out parinsignifera which can look similar dorsally. Handy tip for next time.
