Tiliqua rugosa (Shingleback Lizard)

Common name: Shingleback. SVL 250mm; Total length 275mm

Shingleback is one of eight blue-tongue species (Tiliqua) found in Australia and Indonesia. Tiliqua belong to the Egernia Group of skinks. Three species of blue-tongue are found in the Canberra region.

Distribution: Shingleback is found throughout the tablelands.
